Redclaw crayfish incubator

A crayfish incubator is a unit in which Australian redclaw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) females produce juveniles. The Australian crayfish incubator from MrRak is not a single piece of equipment but a complete package for starting your own juvenile production: you get the module, the breeding stock, the training and the support.

What the package includes. An incubation module sized to your premises. A crayfish family — 9 females and 3 males ready to breed, from our own certified hatchery. A water treatment and biofiltration system. Training: 2 days on the farm plus online. Consultation support 24/7 after launch. All of this is included in the price of the package: you do not need to buy anything from this list separately.

A module for your premises. The size of the incubation module is individual. We take the measurements and build the system to fit the space you already have.

Everything in one pair of hands. Equipment, breeding stock and support come together, so you never have to assemble a farm from parts supplied by different vendors and then work out who is responsible for the result.

How many juveniles the incubator gives. Each of the 9 females gives 400 juveniles, 4 times a year. That is 9 × 400 × 4 — about 14,400 juveniles a year.

Price and payback. The package starts from €3,240; the price starts from this amount because the size of the module is chosen to fit your premises. The payback period is up to 14 months.

How it works. You pay for the incubator. We assemble the module, explain everything and guide you from there. You arrange the delivery. On site you set the module up yourself — or we do it. Then the females become berried and release juveniles.

Training and support. Training takes 2 days on the farm and is also available online. After launch, 24/7 consultation support is available — you are not left alone with the system.
